The Smart University Forum is a forum of the World Universities Foundation on the smart university: how universities use new technologies, data and new models of learning and governance to serve their students and their societies better.
| Dates | 25 to 28 April 2027 |
| Convened by | The World Universities Foundation |
| For | University leaders and the heads of technology, innovation, quality and digital learning, with the companies and innovators who work with them |
What the Forum is for
Artificial intelligence and data are entering every part of the university: teaching, research, admissions, finance and governance. Adopted in haste, they can hollow out the human mission of education. Adopted with purpose, they free people for what matters most. The Forum brings universities together to decide how they adopt these technologies on their own terms, and to share what works from one campus to another.
How it works
Sessions on the domains where technology changes the university most: AI and digital transformation, smart and strategic governance, the sustainable and smart campus, smart academic publishing and effective recruitment. Workshops where teams work through real decisions. An exhibition of solutions for the smart campus, presented to the leaders who choose them.
