How the World Universities Foundation keeps and uses the information you give it on W-U-F.org.
The World Universities Foundation (WUF) respects the privacy of everyone who visits W-U-F.org. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control of it.
Who we are
W-U-F.org is the website of the World Universities Foundation, with headquarters in San Diego, California, and Antalya, Türkiye. For any question about your information, write to connect@w-u-f.org.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you subscribe to hear from WUF.
- What you write to us, when you use the contact form: your name, your email address, and, if you choose, your institution, your country and your message.
- Account and order details, if you become a member or buy a publication: the details needed to manage your membership, your order and its receipt. Payments are handled by our payment provider; WUF never sees or stores your card number.
We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The site uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as keeping you signed in or remembering your cart.
How we use it
We use your information only to send you the news you asked for, to answer your message, and to provide your membership or your order. We never sell your information, and we never share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Where it is kept
Your information is kept on the servers that host W-U-F.org and in WUF’s email service, both protected by modern security measures. Only the people at WUF who need it to answer you or serve you can see it.
How long we keep it
Your email address stays on our list until you unsubscribe. Messages and order records are kept for as long as they are needed to serve you and to meet our legal obligations.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Every email from WUF has a link to unsubscribe in one click. These rights include those under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). To use them, write to connect@w-u-f.org.
